Residents of Suwayda continued their peaceful demonstrations in Karama Square on Thursday, reiterating their demand for the removal of the Assad regime and the enforcement of UN Resolution 2254.
The demonstrators displayed banners with messages such as “Do not sell your land to buy a passport for your child. Free your land and bring your son back to your country. Karama Square remains the stronghold of freedom and revolution. The revolution was peaceful, but Maher and Bashar stained it red. Netanyahu is attacking hospitals and children following Bashar’s lead. Assad, cease exploiting the Palestinian cause.”
On Wednesday, the town of Salkhad, located south of Suwayda, witnessed a gathering of demonstrators from various regions of the province. This demonstration emphasized the popular demand to put an end to the dictatorial rule of Assad and halt foreign domination of Syrian territory. They called for the implementation of UN resolutions, particularly Resolution 2254.
