The Suwayda 24 Network has reported disturbing incidents of Assad forces firing upon peaceful demonstrators in Karama Square on Wednesday.
According to the local news network, regime forces opened fire from the Baath Party branch building in the city of Suwayda, in an attempt to disperse a group of anti-regime protesters who were seeking to close the aforementioned building. As a preliminary outcome of this shooting, the network has reported three individuals sustaining moderate injuries, caused by live bullets and shrapnel. These injured individuals were promptly transported to Shahba and Suwayda hospitals for medical attention.
Local activists are urging caution when dealing with regime forces, advising against retaliatory actions that might provide them with a pretext to resume their brutal military tactics against civilians.
