The interim Ministry of Education announced that the deadline for the application for the German scholarships granted for Syrian graduate students is December 15th, 2014. The German Foreign Ministry said that “Leaders of Syria Program” provides the opportunity for 100 Syrian students to study in Germany, and that it allocated 7.8 million euros for this purpose. The scholarship covers all fields of study except human and veterinary medicine, dentistry, law, arts and architecture. The program aims to qualify cadres that will be tasked with rebuilding Syria after the end of the Assad regime’s war on the Syrian people. The Syrian interim Ministry of Education called on students wishing to apply for the scholarships to contact the Department of Scholarships and University Relations in the Syrian interim government for more information, and through the Ministry’s website on the internet.
