Activists said that six civilians, including two children, were killed when a ballistic missile hit the town of Daret Izza in rural Aleppo on Monday. The missile was fired from a Russian warship anchored off the Syrian coast, Shaam News Network reported. Activists published photos and videos showing the aftermath of the missile attack. Several civilian homes were destroyed or damaged in the attack.
In Rural Damascus, the district of Daraya west of Damascus was pounded with a barrage of barrel bombs, rockets and mortar shells. The bombardment on the rebel-held district, under siege by regime forces for over three years, caused civilian casualties and massive damage to civilian homes.
Airstrikes carried out during the weekend have destroyed a hospital supported by Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in rural Idlib.
MSF said that airstrikes on the town of Millis on Saturday killed 13 people, including four members of the hospital’s staff and five children, and left six medical workers wounded. The strikes also destroyed the operating theater, intensive care unit, pediatric department, ambulances and a generator, MSF reported.
The non-governmental organization added that the attacks will deprive 70,000 people in Millis and the surrounding areas of essential medical care. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Agencies)
