A child was killed and eight civilians were injured in bombardment and shelling by the Assad regime and Russian forces on Idlib and rural Hama on Wednesday. At least 38 airstrikes, 80 barrel bombs, and 324 artillery shells pummeled around 22 towns and villages in rural Idlib on Tuesday.
The Syrian Civil Defense on Wednesday said that an airstrike hit the village of Bashiriya in rural Idlib, killing a child and injuring five others, including women and children. Three other civilians were injured in a similar attack on the town of Saraqib in Idlib countryside.
Bombardment and shelling by the Assad regime and Russian forces killed six civilians and wounded twenty others on Tuesday, including a child. The victims were in a farmland on the outskirts of the town of Benin in southern rural Idlib.
A civilian was killed in an airstrike that hit the town of Ma’rshimarin, while another was killed and four others injured, including two women, as a result of airstrikes that targeted the town of al-Ghadfa. Airstrikes by the Assad regime injured two civilians in the town of Addair Asharqi and four others in the town of Jarjanaz southeast of Idlib.
The bombing campaign, now in its fourth month, continues to pound towns and villages in the ‘de-escalation zone’ in northwestern Syria. The bombardment and shelling hit more than 1,900 locations in the region, according to the civil defense. (Source: Syrian National Coalition’s Media Department)
