The Free Bar Association in Aleppo concluded its annual conference with the participants including the Minister of Justice in the Syrian Interim Government, Abdullah Abd al-Salam, and member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Muhammad al-Abdullah.
The conference included a discussion of the work of the branch of the Free Bar Association in Aleppo for the 2018-2019 session as well as elections for membership of the new council of the branch and members of the central union for the next session extending from 2020 to 2023.
In his opening speech, Minister Abdul Salam pointed to the need to go through with the process of establishing institutional work and civil society organizations as well as preserve the leadership role of these organizations in building a modern state that is based on the rule of law justice, and equality.
The participants elected Hamidou Salih, Abdul Aziz Darwish, Hassan Al-Mousa, Ahmed Maznouk, Ahmed Rashid, Ahmed Hariri, Omar Teijan as members of the branch and the complementary members of the Central Bar Association.
The following lawyers were elected by acclamation in the list of candidates for the General Conference: Mahmoud Al-Hadi, Jamal Al-Jasem, Ilham Saeed, Abdel-Moneim Al-Suleiman, Ibrahim Al-Khalil, Abdel-Razzaq Razouk, Youssef Abbas, Muhammad Najjar, Saif Al-Din Naasan, Abdul-Latif Hamou.
