The Assad regime forces on Tuesday stepped up heavy artillery shelling on rural Aleppo and Latakia, targeting villages and towns in rural Aleppo and Al-Akrad Mountain in rural Lattakia in western Syria.
Activists in rural Aleppo said that the Assad regime forces stationed in the village of Tal Alloush fired no fewer than 40 heavy artillery shells on the village of Jazariya and the surrounding farmlands. Similar shelling targeted the village of Abad in southern rural Aleppo without reports of casualties.
The towns of Khalsa in southern rural Aleppo as well as the towns of Mansoura, Al-Rashideen neighborhood west of Aleppo and the town of Kafar Hamra in northern rural Aleppo came under heavy artillery shelling by the Assad regime forces.
In rural Latakia, the Assad regime forces carried out heavy artillery shelling on several targets and supply routes in the area, without reports of casualties.
The Assad regime forces have recently stepped up shelling of villages and towns in the liberated areas and which are located in the demilitarized zone agreed between Turkey and Russia, resulting in dozens of civilian casualties. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
