The Syrian Coalition’s media office published an infographic documenting the Assad regime’s losses in equipment over the past year. The infographic shows the number of tanks and armored vehicles that rebel fighters destroyed using the anti-armor TOW missiles and other means.
Pro-regime forces lost 540 tanks and armored vehicles between November 2014 and October 2015. Of these, 123 tanks were destroyed in the last month alone, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Syria.
The highest number of regime losses were recorded in Hama province, where they lost 127 tanks. The remaining losses were recorded as follows: 107 in Idlib, 102 in Damascus, 94 in Aleppo, 63 in Dara’a, 16 in Latakia, 18 in Homs, 11 in Quneitra and two in Swaidaa’.
The infographic shows that October saw the biggest number of tanks destroyed by rebel fighters. The losses are cited as follows: 123 tanks in October, 51 in August, 30 in July, 61 in June, 43 in March, and 14 in January. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
