The Assad regime and its Russian ally continue to bomb populated areas, killing five civilians in different parts of Syria on Friday, including three in rural Idlib, one in rural Aleppo, and a child in Dara’a.
The Civil Defense said that two airstrikes hit the town of Haas in rural Idlib on Friday, killing three civilians, including a child and a woman, and wounding five others, including a child. Two rockets also pounded the town, causing massive destruction to civilian homes and property.
One more civilian was killed when Russian jets bombed two IDP camps near the town of Talhadya and Umm Atba in southern rural Aleppo, while intensive airstrikes targeted the nearby area of ICARDA.
In southern Syria, a child was killed and four others were wounded in an explosion of a landmine that was left by the Assad regime forces on the outskirts of the town of Western Gharya in the rural Dara’a.
Local activists said that four airstrikes targeted the town of Ehsim in rural Idlib, destroying an entire block of homes. No casualties were reported as the town is almost completely deserted.
The Assad regime helicopters and Russian jets raided the towns and villages of Khan Sheikhoun, Ma’arat al-Nu’man, Kafranbel, Habeet, Tirmala, Kfarrouma, Barabo, Areinba, Abidin, Sutuh al-Deir, Ehsim, Haas, Tal Mardikh, Ariha, Kafarsijna, Taftanaz, Hayesh, Sahyan, al-Mastoma and Ma’ra Hurma, without reports of civilian casualties.
The provinces of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo have been subjected to brutal bombing campaign that resulted in the death and injury of thousands of civilians and the displacement of hundreds of thousands more. The bombardment has caused extensive destruction to infrastructure and vital civilian centers and the burning of hundreds of hectares of agricultural crops.
