Activists in Aleppo said that at least 40 civilians were killed and many more wounded in Russian airstrikes on Aleppo city and its countryside on Monday.
Civil defense teams said 25 civilians were killed and over 70 injured in three airstrikes by Russian jets on the village of Awijil in western rural Aleppo on Monday afternoon.
The Russian air force intensified attacks on the rebel-held areas in eastern Aleppo at dawn today, killing 14 civilians and wounding dozens more in the Marjah district. Activists said that ‘bunker-buster bombs’ were used causing massive damage to residential buildings.
