At least 15 people were killed and more than 30 others were abounded in an explosion that ripped through the town of Jisr al-Shughour in rural Idlib on Wednesday.
Six more civilians were killed in shelling by the Assad regime on Idlib province on Tuesday, including five in Khan Sheikhoun and one in Hanbushiya.
Local activists said that the victims were all children and women, who died in the rocket and artillery shelling by the Assad regime forces stationed in the village of Kubariya.
The Civil Defense said that more than 20 rockets pummeled the village of Hanbushiya west of Idlib, hitting the Andron IDP camp and a school, causing material damage to civilian vehicles and tents of the IDP.
The relentless shelling prompted the Directorate of Education in Idlib on Tuesday to suspend schools in the southern and eastern parts of the province.
The Directorate said that the decision to suspend schools covers the schools in the towns of Khan Sheikoun as well as the villages and towns that have been bombed by the regime forces.
The Assad regime and Russian forces have been repeatedly carrying out rocket and artillery shelling on the provinces of Idlib and Hama although the area is covered by the Russian-Turkish agreement calling for a halt to bombardment in the area. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
