At least five civilians, including two children and a woman, were injured in rocket shelling by the Assad regime forces on the village of Baliyoun in southern rural Idlib on Wednesday.
Volunteers of the Syrian Civil Defense rushed two injured children to the nearest medical center in the area.
Renewed shelling by the Assad regime and Russian forces triggered a new wave of displacement of civilians whose suffering has been worsened by the threat of a major coronavirus outbreak in IDP camps in northwestern Syria.
The Syrian Civil Defense Corps said it has recorded more than 80 breaches of the existing ceasefire agreement by the Assad regime’s forces and their allied militias since the beginning of July. The breaches killed six people and wounded 35 others, including children. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
