Syria’s Free Aleppo University on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement with Istanbul Academy of International Relations with the aim of boosting cooperation between the two universities and the exchange of counseling and academic expertise.
The agreement was ratified by the Syrian Interim Government’s Minister of Higher Education Abdul Aziz Dughaim, Assistant Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research and External Relations Jamal Abdel Rahim Abu Al-Ward, members of the scientific committee of the Istanbul Academy of International Relations, namely Dean of the Faculty of Political Science at the International University of Innovation Saifuddin Abdel Fatah and Head of the Department of Administrative Sciences at the University Ahmed Zikrallah.
The text of the agreement was signed by Jamal Abdul Rahim Abu Al-Ward on the Syrian side and Issam Abdulshafi on the side of the Istanbul Academy of International Relations.
Abu Al-Ward said that the agreement aims to boost cooperation between Free Aleppo University in liberated areas and the Istanbul Academy of International Relations so as to contribute to producing a generation capable of building the state in the future.
Abu Al-Ward praised the agreement as he expressed hope it will help develop relations between the two sides, exchange experiences, build bridges of communications, and benefit from the scientific heritage of the Istanbul Academy.
This move came as part of the plans and the efforts being made by the Ministry of Higher Education to support the educational institutions operating in liberated areas in Syria as well as to secure recognition for certificates issued by institutions of the Syrian Interim Government.
