The Free Syrian Army fighters have broken through ISIS lines around Marea, reopening the supply lines to the key north Aleppo town.
The Mutassim Brigade, the main FSA group in the town, on Wednesday morning announced they had liberated the villages of Sandaf, Kaljibrin and Kfarkalbin after forcing ISIS out of the villages.
The announcement came only hours after the Mutassim Brigade released a video in which all the fighting factions in Marea pledged to unite and fight under the banner of the FSA.
By taking these three villages, the FSA fighters recaptured the motorway linking Marea with the border town of Azaz in the north. However, Marea is still sandwiched between ISIS in the east and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in the west. (Source: Anadolu Agency)
