Assad’s forces and the Hezbollah militia launched a large-scale offensive to re-take the town of Sheikh Misqin in rural Dara’a on Sunday under Russian air cover.
Russian warplanes carried out several air strikes on the town, alongside intensive artillery and rocket shelling.
The Free Syrian Army has stopped the offensive by the attacking forces and regained full control of the Brigade 82 after heavy fighting. Dozens of pro-regime militants were reportedly killed and many injured in the failed attack. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
