Havaron Sharif, member of the Syrian Coalition, said that the number of displaced civilians from the town of Ayn al-Arab (Kobanî) and its surroundings northeast of Aleppo exceeds 200,000 people who are now stranded near the Syrian-Turkish borders. “We are going to provide them with water and food today,” she said. Sharif also said that she, along with the relief official Hussein Abdullah visited the Turkish town of Soroj which shelters many displaced people and distributed 400 packs of baby milk and 40 cartons of biscuits provided by Imkan Dar Association. She also said she would visit the Turkish town of Urfa which has received a huge influx of Syrian refugees who were forced to flee their towns which were swept by ISIS. The interim Ministry of Local Administration has dispatched a delegation to the town of Soroj which faces the town of Ayn al-Arab (Kobanî) on the opposite end of Syria and distributed food and water bottles to the displaced people who have spent two days at the border. Mohammed Fadel, member of the relief committee dispatched by the interim government said that approximately 105,000 Syrians crossed the border into Turkey in just two days.” The Syrian interim government has established a special committee to follow up on the needs of the Syrian refugees and to take the necessary actions towards to meet them.
