Airstrikes by the international anti-ISIS coalition killed 24 civilians, including women and children, in rural Deir Ezzor on Wednesday.
Local news networks reported that the international coalition forces committed a massacre in the village of Tayba in eastern rural Deir Ezzor claiming the lives of 15 civilians. Nine other civilians were killed in similar attacks on the town of Albu Kamal near the Iraqi border.
Deir Ezzor 24 news network reported that the bombardment and the deteriorating humanitarian situation caused an exodus of civilians from the towns and villages of rural Deir Ezzor.
The network earlier reported the spread of many epidemics in the area, especially polio due to the lack of antibiotics and medical supplies and the destruction of most hospitals in the area.
The towns and villages in rural Deir Ezzor have been subjected to bombardment by the Assad regime, Russia, and the international coalition forces, the network said. The network confirmed that cluster bombs and white phosphorus are being used in the bombing. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
