The Health Directorate of Damascus and its countryside of the Interim Ministry of Health gave an overview of the medical services provided to the people in Eastern Ghouta through the medical office and the field hospital in Al Marj. The medical office in Al Marj said it had treated minor, medium and severe injuries, and also performed medical operations, in addition to treating patients with communicable diseases such as typhoid and measles, and also normal diseases such as diarrhea caused by viral toxins and lack of clean water in light of the crippling siege imposed by regime forces on Eastern Ghouta. These diseases are also caused by eating spoiled foods in light of the continuous outage of electricity and fuel shortages. (Source: Syrian Interim Government + Syrian Coalition)
