The Interim Ministry Of Education announced the names of students admitted to the Turkish University of Kahramanmaras. The Ministry noted that the students who were not admitted could send an application for only one major course of study to the ministry via email within 24 hours. It is worth noting that the interim Ministry of Education announced in September that registration has begun for Syrian students in the Turkish universities of Necmettin Erbakan and Selcuk in the city of Konya, central Turkey. Applying for these universities is free of charge in line with the Turkish government’s decision to treat Syrian students just like their Turkish counterparts. The Universities of Batman and Mardin have extended the deadline for registration for Syrian students until the end of this month. The interim Ministry of Education has called for Syrian students wishing to register or complete postgraduate studies to contact the interim Ministry and to send the papers to via e-mail to [email protected]. It is worth noting that Selcuk University said it would grant the Syrian students the opportunity to pursue their graduate studies in the of Institute of Technical Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, Institute of Turkish Research, Institute of Education Sciences, and Maulana Research Institute. The interim Ministry noted that the registration for graduate students at the University of Selcuk ends at October 10th. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Syrian Interim Government)
