A delegation from the Ministry of Justice in the Syrian interim government visited the town of Kafr Zeita north of Hama to document the regime’s use of chlorine in aerial attacks a few days ago. Ahmad Hamed, the director of the Office of Documentation of the Ministry of Justice in Kafranbel said that members of the Office toured the field hospitals and listened to witnesses of some people and doctors, which verified that the attack was carried out by barrel bombs filled with toxic chlorine, leaving around 120 cases of suffocation among civilians in the town. The documentation comes in the context of the Office’s efforts to verify and document all crimes and violations committed in Syria as a prelude to bring the perpetrators to national and international criminal courts.
