The Assad regime and Russian forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in Idlib province, rural Aleppo, and rural Hama, killing 18 civilians, including five children.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Emergency Response Coordinators Team in northern Syria said that it had recorded no fewer than 1,064 breaches of the ceasefire by the Assad regime and Russian forces since the agreement was reached in March by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the Russian city of Sochi.
The breaches included shelling by heavy artillery and rockets, drone attacks, and airstrikes, the Team said, adding that the attacks targeted several areas in rural Aleppo, rural Hama, and Idlib province.
The Team called on the international bodies concerned with the Syrian issue to safeguard the ceasefire so as to allow civilians to return to their homes, calling on the international community to continue the cross-border delivery of aid into northwestern Syria. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
