People of Suwayda province have expressed their outright rejection of the farcical presidential elections that the Assad regime intends to hold, with activists scrawling anti-regime slogans and graffiti scoffing at the elections and head of the regime, Bashar al-Assad.
The anti-regime slogans included “do not run for elections,” “we will remove you no matter what,” “your elections are a total farce,” “the revolution will not die down,”
The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) earlier announced its total rejection of all elections involving the participation of Bashar al-Assad or any of those involved in crimes against humanity, stressing that such elections will be illegitimate absent a safe, neutral environment.
