Demonstrations took place in eastern rural Deir Ezzor and Raqqa where hundreds of civilians condemned the agreement that has recently been reached by the PYD militia and the Assad regime and expressed their rejection of the entry of the Assad regime forces and Iranian militias into their areas.
Activists published photos and videos from various towns and villages showing civilians holding signs demanding the overthrow of the regime and reaffirming their commitment to the principles of the Syrian revolution.
“We reject the entry of the Assad regime and Iranian militias into our areas and we will fight them by all means,” read one sign. “Deir Ezzor rejects Assad.”
According to Deir Ezzor 24 News Network, big demonstrations took place in several areas of the province, including in the town of Shu’ayat and the roundabout of the industrial area in eastern rural Deir Ezzor.
According to Furat Post News Network, a demonstration took place in the town of Hajin after Friday prayers as protestors expressed their rejection of the entry of the Assad regime and Iranian militias to the region.
