A woman and a girl were killed and many others were injured in Assad regime artillery shelling on the town of Morek in northern rural Hama on Friday.
The Assad regime forces also carried out artillery shelling on the towns of Kafarzeita, Latamina, Janabra, Tal Othman, and Al-Sakhir, wounding many civilians.
In southern Aleppo countryside, the towns of Khalsah and Humeira also came under artillery shelling by the Assad regime forces, without reports of casualties. Rebel fighters responded by shelling regime positions near Shaghidla dam, fending off attempts by the Assad regime to advance on their positions.
Liberated areas in Syria’s north has been subjected to recurrent rocket and artillery shelling by regime forces in violation of the Idlib agreement. The shelling is causing civilian casualties.
The Syrian Coalition said that these violations constituted war crimes as it called for referring Syria to the International Criminal Court and hold the Assad regime officials accountable for those crimes. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
