Regime forces intensified bombardment on the district of Douma near Damascus yesterday, using artillery and rocket launchers; and internationally banned cluster bombs.
Civil defense teams said that ten people, including three women and a child, were killed as a result of regime artillery and rocket attacks on Douma earlier today. 100 more were wounded in the rebel-held district.
Regime forces also targeted a camp for internally displaced people near the Turkish border in northern rural Latakia using rockets stuffed with cluster munitions, killing five civilians and injuring dozens more.
The camp is home to dozens of displaced families who fled Assad regime’s bombing. It was established two years ago, and is continuously expanded to accommodate the recently growing number of displaced people who are fleeing the regime’s and Russia’s aerial attacks.
