Renewed Rebel Offensive on Two Major Regime Bastions Near Aleppo

Rebels say they targeted regime positions in the Academy of Artillery in Aleppo with Grad rockets, and also launched a new offensive on the towns of Nibul and Al Zahraa’, two regime major bastions located northwest of Aleppo. Rebels also captured a pro-regime militant in the district of Aziza. Rebels on Tuesday captured Al Majbal area and wide parts of Al Manasher area in northern Aleppo after fierce clashes with regime forces, amid reports of heavy regime losses. The importance of these rebel gains lies in that these two areas are located near the strategic Handarat Camp, the goal of regime forces’ offensive in northern Aleppo. A mother and her two children were killed in aerial shelling on the town of Kfar Owaid in rural Idlib, alongside barrel bomb attacks on the towns of Taman’a, Deir Sinbol and Kansafra.
