The Russian air force committed an appalling massacre in the town of Terre Maaleh north of Homs today’s morning when it targeted a bakery inside the town, killing eight civilians and wounding many others.
Homs Media Center said that the Russian fighter jets also targeted the towns of Talbeesa, Ghirnata and Al-Ghantu in northern rural of Homs, killing three more civilians.
Mamoun Swaid, a rebel commander, said that regime forces, backed by the Russian air force and allied foreign militias, have launched a ground attack on northern rural Homs from all directions. He added that regime forces stationed in the nearby Military Academy bombed the rebel-held areas in the area with hundreds of rockets and artillery shells in preparation for the ground attack.
Swaid pointed out that the Russian warplanes dropped naval mines today’s morning on the towns of Al-Lataminah and Kafr Zeita in northern rural Hama, causing civilian casualties. He also said that they targeted rebel positions in the area. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
