The Ministry of Education in the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) on Monday issued the results of the final exams for the secondary and elementary education for the academic year 2017. The results were published on the website of the ministry.
According to the ministry, 12,200 students took the secondary school exams, divided between 5,500 students in the scientific studies and 6,700 in the literary studies. The ministry added that 21,900 students sat the final elementary school exams.
Education minister Imad Barq said that 56 percent of the students passed the secondary school exams for the scientific studies, while 54 percent of students passed the secondary school exams for the literary studies. He added that 61 percent of students passed the exams of the elementary education.
The Ministry congratulated the students who passed their exams and wished them further success, calling on those who did not pass the exams not to give up pursuing their studies so that they can achieve success next year. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department + Agencies)
