Minister of Local Administration of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG), Mohammed Sorour Muthayeb, on Thursday toured the liberated areas in Dara’a province to check up on the performance of services institutions. Muthayeb was accompanied by Assistant Minister of Finance, Assistant Minister of Agriculture, and the Assistant Minister of Health.
SIG officials visited the local council of the town of Tafas, the General Establishment of Grain, the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Aleppo, the Tafas Hospital, the Free School of the Orphans in the central sector, and the local council in the town of Dael.
Muthayeb said that the visit aimed to ascertain the performance of services institutions and check up on the efforts they make to serve civilians in the liberated areas.
Muthayeb praised the efforts being made by all employees in the institutions that they visited. He urged them to exert more efforts to improve the performance of services institutions as he wished them success in their work.
As part of SIG’s efforts to improve the performance of medical institutions, head of the Syrian interim government Jawad Abu Hatab on Thursday met with staff of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in SIG’s office in the city of Gaziantep, Turkey with the aim of promoting coordination between the aid group and SIG in the implementation of medical projects in northern Syria.
SIG gives priority to the provision of health services in light of the difficult conditions the civilian population in the liberated areas go through resulting from the Assad regime and Russia’s systematic targeting of these areas. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
