Head of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) Abdurrahman Mustafa, accompanied by the Minister of Defense, Major General Salim Idris, visited the town of Tel Abyad in rural Raqqa where they met members of the Syrian Tribal Council in the town.
The meeting, which took place at the new office of the Council in Tel Abyad, brought together local notables and tribal leaders. Mustafa checked on the living conditions and the reality of basic services in the town. Participants in the meeting also discussed SIG’s plan of action to improve security, stability, and basic services for the local population.
The participants stressed SIG’s important role in Tel Abyad and the rest of territories which were freed from the Assad regime, ISIS, and the PYD militia. They also stressed the need for greater cooperation to improve the living conditions, stability, and security so as to create the appropriate conditions for the return of displaced persons to their homes.
