Minister of Education in the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) Imad Barq issued two ministerial circulars setting out rules, instructions, and guidelines for secondary school examinations for the academic year 2017-2018. The Ministry of Education announced it would begin receiving applications for secondary school examinations starting from December 2, 2017 for both regular and free studies.
The Ministry issued ministerial circular No. 47 for the primary schools examinations for the academic year 2017-2018, while ministerial circular No. 48 was issued setting out rules and regulations for the applications for secondary school examinations in both literary and scientific studies as well as for legal, commercial and industrial secondary schools.
The two circulars set out information about the regular student, the free student, date of the exams, date of the reception of applications, centers of the submission of applications, examination centers, requirements for applications for each grade, the supporting documents required for applications, and identity documents for the general exams.
The issuance of the ministerial circulars coincided with a tour by the Minister of Agriculture in SIG Jamal Kalash of the Faculty of Engineering in Homs, one of the University of Aleppo faculties on Monday.
During the visit, Kalash toured the departments of the faculty where he was briefed about the needs that need to be met to continue with the education process. He met with the administrative and teaching staff and discussed with them the biggest challenges the faculty is facing.
At the end of his tour, Kalash praised the efforts being made by the administrative and teaching staff of the faculty as he wished the students success in their studies. He reaffirmed SIG’s support for the Faculty of Engineering in Homs. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
