The interim Ministry of Infrastructure, Agriculture and Water Resources signed an agreement with Syria’s Reconstruction Fund to fund projects worth of 1,3 million euros. The project aims to restore and operate the water network and sewage systems in western rural Aleppo. The agreements includes the purchase and supply of submersible and horizontal pumps for the sterilization of water along with the necessary accessories such as pipes, cables, and control panels. Moreover, the Interim Ministry of Communications, Transport and Industry launched a maintenance and preparation campaign in anticipation of winter the damage that might affect the infrastructure and communications network. The campaign includes maintaining the sewage system, water networks, electricity grids and telephone networks. The campaign also covers all telephone centers of the Directorate of Telecommunications of Aleppo. The Directorate has re-run 25 communications centers and has been periodically maintaining the infrastructure and communication networks. (Source: Syrian Interim Government)
