The Syrian interim government decries criticism of its work saying that “some people went beyond criticizing to indulging in slander and making accusations.” The government said in a letter to the Media Office that criticism of our work has recently escalated on social networks on the internet, some of which is constructive, while other turned to slander and accusations against the interim government. We have developed plans and programs to develop all provinces of our beloved country, and to search for all the possible ways that may alleviate the suffering of our people who are fighting for freedom and democracy.” The interim government also denies “that it is oblivious to some Syrian cities or towns, pointing out that “the decision of sending support is usually made according to specific plans, as the government is keen to providing sustained support to all the provinces with the aim alleviating the suffering of our people and improving the conditions of their life.” The interim government also stated in a message to the Syrian people that “on this occasion, we have to keep in mind our people in the Golan Heights and the people of Quneitra, who have been subject to decades-long injustice. We declare our complete support for the men who showed unprecedented courage in the face of the Assad regime in Quneitra, Damascus and Dara’a. We also pay tribute to the people of Raqqa province, who rose up against ISIS gangs and the Assad regime, and to the people of Hasakah province whom we have never overlooked, even for a single moment.” The interim government concluded its letter calling on the people “of our beloved homeland to take into consideration the difficult circumstances we are working in.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
