ACU’S teams in southern Syria helped set up refugee camps for the displaced people near the Jordanian border. Al Shajara camp was set up with a capacity of 400 tents, and it received more than sixty displaced families from Homs and Yabroud Rural Damascus, and around fifty families from Nawa, Dara’a. The camp contains a large kitchen and was set up just a short distance from a nearby bakery. The camp is also located near Al Shajara clinic which provides health care and medicines to the displaced people. ACU performed maintenance to health facilities in a nearby school. The refugees are suffering from the shortage of water as there are no water wells so they depend on the public water systems. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
