Ahmad Tomeh, Interim Prime Minister, said that “the UN Security Council resolutions have so far failed to protect the Syrian people” during a meeting with the Australian ambassador to Turkey. The Australian official stressed that his country will continue to provide humanitarian support to the Syrian people through international organizations and in coordination with the Syrian interim government. Tomeh called for adopting “abiding UN resolutions that serve the interests of the Syrian people. He also briefed the Australian official on the projects that are being implemented in the health, education and service sectors, stressing that the interim government is working hard to alleviate the suffering of the people in all opposition-held areas. Adnan Hazzouri, interim Health Minister met with a delegation from the French embassy to Turkey and the Association of Homs in the diaspora in Gaziantep, Turkey. The meeting discussed provision of baby milk, clean water and medicines of all kinds, especially for cancer, insulin, and measles vaccines. The meeting also discussed giving free medical treatment to Syrian patients in France and granting them humanitarian asylum after the end of treatment.
