In a statement, it announced the commencement of investigations to identify those involved in the bombing, emphasizing that they “will not escape the punishment they deserve.”
The ministry held the PYD militia responsible for the bombing in Azaz, stating: “The terrorism of the PKK against civilians in liberated areas will not go unanswered. We will seek retribution for the blood of the victims.”
On Wednesday evening, the town of Azaz in the northern Aleppo countryside experienced a terrorist attack when a truck bomb exploded while stopped at the “Shatt” checkpoint at the town’s western entrance on the road to Afrin.
