Members of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Haytham Al-Shihabi and Mohammed Salem Al-Mukhlif, participated in the “Smile of Joy” event dedicated to orphans and children of fallen heroes. The event was organized by the Liberation and Construction Movement in the town of Afrin, with the presence of representatives from civil society organizations and various economic and social entities.
Al-Shihabi conveyed the greetings of the Coalition’s president, Hadi Al-Bahra, and expressed his deep gratitude to the Liberation and Construction Movement and the organizations and participants involved in the event. On behalf of the Coalition’s president, Al-Shihabi delivered a speech emphasizing the continuation of the Syrian revolution, the preservation of its principles, and honoring those who sacrificed their lives to fight oppression and achieve freedom.
He also stressed that the children of fallen heroes are a shared responsibility for everyone in all fields. They require not only material support but also moral care, including proper guidance, education, and upbringing, as they represent the hope of the nation and the foundation of the future. He stated: “With them, we succeed. With them, we continue the journey. Through them, the path becomes clear in dark times, and with them, the goals become evident along difficult roads.”
