On the occasion of Eid al-Adha for the year (1445-2024), the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the great Syrian people, both inside and outside Syria, and to the Arab and Islamic nations. We ask Almighty God to bring peace, security, stability, and prosperity to their countries and peoples. On this solemn occasion, we pray to Almighty God for the realization of the aspirations for which hundreds of thousands of Syrians have sacrificed their lives. Tens of thousands of detainees and forcibly disappeared persons, as well as millions of internally displaced and refugees, continue to sacrifice for these same goals. Our aim is to achieve a state of equal citizenship founded on the principles of justice, freedom, and democracy.
We pray for mercy for the fallen heroes and the deceased, recovery for the wounded, freedom for the detainees, and the safe, voluntary, and dignified return of the displaced people and refugees.
Long live Syria and its proud, free people.
