The Syrian Opposition Coalition condemns the criminal practices being carried out by the militias affiliated with the PKK terrorist organization in Al-Hasakah province, including raids on the homes and arrests of members of Kurdish parties affiliated with the Kurdish National Council over the past two days.
These terrorist militias raided the homes of members and media professionals of the Kurdistan Democratic Party â Syria. The detainees included journalist Ezzedine Mahmoud (also known as Ezzedine Mulla), Saleh Shallal, Fermoz Abdel Karim Ali, Abdul Ghaffar Muhammed, and Muhammed Ayyo. They also raided the home of Weis Sheikhi, member of the Political Committee of the Yekiti Kurdistan Party (Syria).
The enforced disappearance, arbitrary arrest, killing under torture, and the assault on civilians by the militias affiliated with the terrorist PKK organization constitute war crimes. These militias are imposing themselves on the Syrian people with iron and fire, and committing crimes, violations and violations against them. Everything possible must be done to stop these violations and hold those responsible to account.
We in the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) condemn this organized terrorism being carried out by these militias against the parties affiliated with the Kurdish National Council, the Syrian Kurds and the various Syrian components, especially in the regions east of the Euphrates.
The SOC once again calls for the withdrawal of these alien militias from our country, whose terrorism, brutality and violence are encouraged by the support of some international parties. It is about time that international bodies reconsider their support for these terrorist organizations and stop providing political cover for their crimes.
The Syrian people are continuing their struggle to overthrow the rule of terrorism and tyranny, build a civil state, dismantle all terrorist organizations and militias, and put a decisive end to their presence on our land.
