The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) strongly condemns the terrorist attack that occurred in the Turkish capital, Ankara, this morning, targeting an area near the Ministry of Interior. We express our unwavering solidarity with the Turkish people and their government, extending our heartfelt wishes for their everlasting safety, security, and stability.
The SOC acknowledges and appreciates the tireless efforts of the Turkish state in its fight against terrorism and extremism, both domestically and internationally. We emphasize the imperative need to eradicate terrorist organizations that seek to disrupt security in Syria and Türkiye, the region, and beyond. These groups pose a direct threat to the safety and coexistence of peoples worldwide, notably those affiliated with the PKK terrorist organization, as well as transnational sectarian terrorist groups committing war crimes against the Syrian people while supporting the tyrannical Assad regime.
It is crucial to maintain ongoing collaboration at the regional and international levels to combat these terrorist organizations that seek to undermine regional and international peace and security.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those injured in this treacherous attack, and we wish them a swift and complete recovery.
