The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) expresses its heartfelt solidarity with the sisterly state of Morocco, its esteemed people, His Majesty the King, and the government. We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the brotherly Moroccan people, as well as to the families and loved ones of the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday. This unfortunate event has resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives, injuries, and significant material damage.
In light of the severity of the earthquake’s aftermath, the SOC calls upon the international community to provide aid and assistance to our sisterly state, Morocco, to help mitigate the devastating effects of this disaster. We understand the profound impact such calamities can have, as the Syrian people have themselves endured the trials and tribulations of the February 6 earthquake, whose repercussions are still felt to this day.
Our thoughts are with the brotherly Moroccan people during this difficult time, and we beseech God Almighty to grant mercy to those who have passed away and to speedily heal the injured.
