The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) deeply mourns the loss of Syrian lawyer Ali Ibrahim Al-Salhadi, who passed away after a long battle with illness in Gaziantep, Turkiye, where he had sought refuge after being displaced from Daraa in 2018.
Al-Salhadi served as the Governor of Daraa when it was liberated and later became the head of the Free Lawyers Syndicate branch in Daraa. Before the Assad regime retook control of Daraa, Al-Salhadi moved to Gaziantep. He was renowned for his noble revolutionary stance and steadfastness to the principles of the revolution, advocating for the unity of Syrians to achieve the goals of the Syrian revolution.
Al-Salhadi hailed from the town of Al-Naimeh in the eastern Daraa countryside and was a prominent and influential figure in Daraa province.
The SOC extends its deepest condolences to Al-Salhadi’s family, friends, and loved ones, praying for the deceased’s mercy and forgiveness and for his family’s patience and solace.
We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return..
