The Syrian Coalition calls on the people of Syria to maintain national unity in order not to fall into the trap of disagreements and splitting, which would only serve the interests of the Assad regime.
Emboldened by the inability of the international community to put an end to Assad’s crimes during the past 3 years, the regime’s forces and pro- Assad militias continue to commit atrocities against innocent men, women and children in Syria.
The shelling of Zara and Alhsn, villages in Homs, continues unabated. This serious escalation of violence jeopardizes civil peace and threatens to inflame sectarian strife in the area, which is exactly what Assad has been trying to do since the start of the uprising.
We call on all parties in the area to exercise self-restraint and adhere to the guiding principles of the revolution. We condemn all violations against international law and international humanitarian law, and those responsible will eventually face justice.
We ask for Mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
Long live Syria and its people, free and with honor.
