Ahmad Tomeh, interim Prime Minister, opened a temporary center in Kilis, Turkey, to shelter the Palestinian refugees coming from Syria. Tomeh said that “problems faced by Palestinian refugees are our top priority,” stressing the unshakeable bonds that combine the Palestinian and the Syrian peoples.” Ayman Abu Hashem, Director of the Public Commission for Palestinian Refugees, thanked the Syrian Coalition and the Syrian government’s for taking the decision to form the Commission, pointing to the important role played by Tomeh in the issuance of the decision. Abu Hashem also said that “the Palestinian Nakba caused by the Israeli occupation is as tragic as the one caused by the Assad regime.” The Commission also manages the sheltering center near the Syrian-Turkish borders, which accommodates around 40 families.
