Syrian Coalition: Practices of ISIS and YPG Serve to Promote Assad's Agenda

Badr Addin Jamous, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, condemns the YPG's, the military wing of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), for killing of civilians and burning of houses in the village of Tal Baraq in Al Hasakah province. "These violations constitute a threat to the fabric of the Syrian society and will have dire consequences on the Syrian revolution," Jamous stresses. He also denounces "acts of looting and intimidation of civilians in the village of Tal Maarouf in Al-Hasakah province which were carried out by ISIS fighters. "These acts are synonymous with the Assad regime's systematic violence against civilians in Syria, and it serves its plans to weaken the national cohesion and to divide the Syrian community in a desperate attempt to quell the revolution for freedom and democracy."
