The Syrian Coalition’s representative to Norway Hanan al-Balkhi participated in a conference titled “Human Rights, Iran, Stop the Executions” held in Paris. The Committee for the Defense Human Rights in Iran organized the conference.
Balkhi delivered a speech on behalf of the Syrian Coalition emphasizing the Iranian and Syrian people’s struggle to rid Iran and Syria of their oppressive regimes. She expressed support for the suggestion put forward by the Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi who called for establishing a united front against religious extremism as a necessary move to remove the theocratic ruling regime in Iran.
Rajavi emphasized that had it not been for the world’s utter silence about the mullah regime’s crimes against humanity, it would not have extended its barbarity to Syria and Iraq. She stressed that the only way to defeat ISIS is through eradicating the Iranian regime in Syria, Iraq and to overthrow Bashar al-Assad.
Rajavi pointed out that there are those who argue that the fall of the Assad regime opens the doors of Damascus to ISIS. She added that this argument is being used by Iran to rescue its protégé Bashar al-Assad, warning that continuing to support the Assad regime will extend the life of ISIS. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
