The Syrian Coalition welcomed the support provided by Turkey and the international anti-ISIS coalition for the FSA’s offensive to liberate the town of Jarablos near the Turkish border from the ISIS terrorist organization.
In a press statement released earlier on Wednesday, the Syrian Coalition emphasized that the military presence of the international anti-ISIS coalition in and around Jarablos is temporary and will be limited to the provision of logistical support. The ground attack on the town will be carried out by the FSA fighters, the Coalition said.
The Coalition reaffirmed full support for the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in its operation to liberate the town of Jarablos from the ISIS terrorist organization.
The offensive, which was launched by the FSA along with a number of rebel groups operating in Aleppo in the early hours of Wednesday, aims to remove the threats posed by the extremist group and other groups allied with the Assad regime in the area.
Activists said that the FSA offensive began with the capture of the town of Kikilji two kilometers west of Jarablos, adding that the FSA fighters are making steady progress around the town.
