The Syrian Interim Government (SIG) said that the Ministry of the Interior had finished training of a new batch of police and national security forces who will be put under the command of the Tal Abyad Police Command in Raqqa province.
The Ministry of the Interior on Saturday held a graduation ceremony for the third batch of cadets of the police force and national security forces who were deployed in and around the town of Tal Abyad.
Minister of Interior, Colonel Mohieddin Harmoush, said that the ministry had deployed the new batch of trainees to checkpoints in and around the town to enforce law and preserve order.
Harmoush said that the ministry continues to work on improving public security, protect public and private property, and enforce law, indicating that the graduation of the new batch comes in the context of providing the police force and national security corps with qualified, well-trained personnel.
Harmoush pointed out that the new batch of cadets had received military training, physical fitness, and behavioral courses. He said that the new batch has brought to 1,150 the number of police personnel in Tal Abyad, adding that the Ministry will recruit more people in the months to come. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
