President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Nasr Al-Hariri, sent a letter to Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Omar Qamar Al-Din Ismail, to express solidarity with the brothers and sisters in Sudan in the face of the devastating floods sweeping the country.
“We express our full solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people in the face of the disastrous Nile flooding,” the letter said. “On behalf of the Syrian people, I extend my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish safety for our brothers and sisters in Sudan.”
Al-Hariri also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the sisterly Republic of Sudan, both leadership and people, for its generous hosting of Syrian refugees fleeing death.
He affirmed his full confidence in the Sudanese government’s ability to manage the situation; carry out its duties in these harsh circumstances; and overcome this crisis. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
