President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Nasr Al-Hariri, met with a delegation from the National Action Movement for Syria and discussed with them the importance of the unity of the Syrian opposition and the role of the SOC’s components in reaching out to the Syrian people and developing its relations with the regional and international surroundings.
The meeting brought together Head of the Movement, Ahmed Ramadan, member of the executive office, Mahmoud Othman, its representative to the SOC Zakaria Malahifji, and members Mahmoud Hassou, and Ghassan Najjar.
The meeting came as part of the SOC’s efforts to strengthen communication and cooperation with all components, bodies and personalities comprising the SOC’s General Assembly.
Participants discussed the latest on the ground and political developments as well as the work of SOC and the Syrian Interim Government. They stressed the importance of increasing the effectiveness of revolutionary institutions and bodies, and ensuring the participation of various political parties and currents in shaping the political vision for the future of Syria.
They underscored the importance of the SOC’s role in promoting national dialogue with the various components of the Syrian people who believe in the national project. They also stressed the importance of upholding common values and building community awareness leading to healing the social fabric and fostering a spirit of fraternity and respect among all segments and components of the Syrian people.
